Amburgo
Amburgo is a sweater pattern that is dedicated to the lovely city of Hamburg and especially to Wollfest Hamburg 2016 which has been held from 3rd to 4th September.
The T-shaped ribbing symbolizes one of the huge container cranes in the harbor of Hamburg which was officially opened as early as 1189 and is the largest harbor in Germany, number two in Europe and number 14 in the World.
The blue yarn with undyed linen content reflects the water with its waves when a ship goes by. The sweater has a special construction started in the middle of a square on the back and the deepest point of the V-neck on the front. It is worked seamlessly and features a rounded hem which is shorter on the front than on the back. All hems are bound off with a contrasting colored yarn.

YARDAGE
MC: 3 (3, 3, 3, 4, 4) skeins The Uncommon Thread Linum or approx. 900 (1000, 1100, 1200, 1350, 1500) meters/ 985 (1100, 1200, 1320, 1480, 1640) yards of fingering weight yarn to achieve given gauge
CC: Madelinetosh Unicorn Tails/Tosh Merino light or approx. 10 (11, 11, 12, 13, 14) meters/ 11 (12, 12, 13, 14, 15) yards of fingering weight yarn
The fiber content of the recommended yarn allows the 2x2 ribbing to open up and lie nearly flat after blocking. Yarn substitutes should be blends with fibers without much “memory” (such as bamboo, cotton, linen, silk, alpaca, yak).
Each knitter knits differently, so given yardage is an estimate.
