Not all 18 inch dolls are created alike. Having an Our Generation doll I quickly realized that most if not all of the shoe patterns would not fit this doll as they would be too big. I created this pattern to fit the American Girl, Gotz and Madame Alexander dolls which have the same foot length of 2 ½ inches x 1 3/8 inches. The Our Generation doll has a foot length of 2 ¼ inches x 1 3/8 inches in width. The use of an elastic in the pattern allows for a cinching effect which helps to keep the shoes on snuggly. Granddaughter tested.
