American Girl Moc Boots
Not all 18 inch dolls are created alike. Having an Our Generation doll I quickly realized that most if not all of the shoe patterns would not fit this doll as they would be too big. I created this pattern to fit the American Girl, Gotz and Madame Alexander dolls which have the same foot length of 2 ½ inches x 1 3/8 inches in width. The Our Generation doll has a foot length of 2 ¼ inches x 1 3/8 inches in width. The use of an elastic in the pattern allows for a cinching effect which helps to keep the shoes on snuggly.
Materials:
G Hook (4.00 mm) Susan Bates used for pattern
C Hook (2.75 mm) for use with tie/cord around top of boot.
Aunt Lydia’s Fashion Crochet Thread 3 or use a strand of DK mercerized cotton

DK #3 weight yarn. Yarns used includes Red Heart Designer Sport and Patons Astra
Red Heart Shimmer in turquoise used for upper. Labeled as #4 weight but not a true worsted weight yarn and works up to a DK weight.
Stitch Markers, Needle, and Scissors
Goody “ouchless” elastics or any elastic with a 2” diameter (72 count shown in photo)
•Important note: Upper shoe will have length of 2 1/2” by 1 1/2” allowing for a nice snug fit.
