AMETHYST shrug
For the month of August, I’ve designed AMETHYST shrug (my little pledge to come up with a shrug for each month of a year). The name is inspired by the beautiful color of the yarn, than I purchased some time ago. Also, I was designing this garment for my sister Anastasia (she is my model for those pictures), and Amethyst is her favorite stone. So it all came together as a light, airy shrug, which is perfect for late summer nights. It takes very little space and weight next to nothing, so it is perfect to cary around in your bag, or on your shoulders.
The design is simple, but captivating and can go with a variety of styles of your main outfit. This is not a quick project to complete (it takes time to work 1125 - 1500 yards of yarn), but the pattern is easy to remember. Any fingering yarn would do, but I would recommend variegated ones, to add depth to already textured body.
This pattern contains 4 pages of written instructions. You can ALWAYS contact me with any question!
