Amigurumi Lion - Arturo
In the jungle, the mighty jungle, Arturo waits and hides. Let’s face it, he is more like the cowardly lion.
The pattern is written in US terms and is done in continuous rounds. It is intended for those that have a basic understanding of amigurumi. There are lots of pictures and helpful tips. This pattern has been tested by a group of amigurumi testers. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any problems with the pattern, I will be happy to help you through it.
Materials
Hook: D / US size 3 / 3.0mm / UK size 10
Yarn:
Lion Brand Heartland Yarn (4 Medium)
Acadia (A) – light tan (75 grams)
Grand Canyon (B) – gray (4.8 grams)
Sequoia (C) – brown (2 grams)
Yellowstone (D) – yellow brown (3 grams)
Yosemite (E) – reddish brown (12.5 grams)
Eyes: Black 12 mm safety eyes
Gauge: Gauge is not important, just make sure that the stitches are tight enough that the stuffing does not show through.
Other: Yarn Needle, stitch marker, stuffing, and wire tooth pet grooming brush
Stitch Abbreviation
Ch: Chain
Sc: Single crochet
Sl st: Slip stitch
Inc: Increase (2sc in the same stitch)
Dec: Invisible Decrease (single crochet 2 together, front loops only)
F/O: Finish off, weave in tails unless directed otherwise
