Amigurumi crochet pattern for Tall Owl with a bonus pattern for the owl’s scarf!

Doll Size: using cotton yarn - 29cm tall
using DK weight acrylic yarn - 25 cm tall

This is a beginner-to-intermediate (or easy to medium difficulty) pattern. I recommend that you loosen your stitch tension when crocheting the legs to facilitate the manoeuvring of your crochet hook through the slip stitches in the owl’s ankle.

Some previous knowledge of crochet is necessary as I do not explain how to crochet specific stitches, e.g. magic ring, chain, slip stitch, single crochet, increase, decrease, front loop only.

Materials:
Embroidery thread in yellow and black.
Safety eyes – I use Tactile Treasures 9mm black Safety Eyes
Stuffing – I use Phoenix Fibres Recycled Polyester Filling
Crochet hook size US C/2 (2.75mm)
Large eye blunt needle
Curved quilting needle
Stitch markers

Cotton yarn:
I used DROPS Paris 100% Cotton yarn in colours 16: white (<50g).

DK weight acrylic yarn:
Owl: I used Hayfield Bonus DK 100% acrylic yarn in shade 0987: Starling (51g) and DK acrylic yarns similar to Hayfield Bonus DK shades 0927: Walnut (5g) and 0812: Cream (1g).
Scarf: I used a yarn similar to Hayfield Bonus DK 100% acrylic yarn shade 0927: Walnut (7g).
