Amina Cowl is designed to complement the Amina Sweater using leftover yarn from the sweater. The intarsia pattern, comprised of stripes, double moss stitch and cables diamond patterns, is knit using the intarsia knitting in the round technique. The design is inspired by examples of female beaded aprons (cache-sexe) from the Kirdi people who farmed in the northern highlands of Cameroon, in eastern Nigeria and in the southwest of Chad.
