amirisu is holding our fourth annual Mystery KAL in September!

This pattern is available directly from amirisu only. Visit one of our Japan-based online shops to purchase the pattern and join the MKAL.
In a Mystery Knit Along (known a Mystery KAL or MKAL), participants knit a shawl section by section without knowing what the finished design will be. A new section of the pattern (a “clue”) is revealed each week. Completing each clue brings participants one step closer to finishing the shawl and revealing the complete design.

Pattern Distribution

After you purchase the pattern from our online shop, the PDF files will become available in MY LIBRARY located in your order history.

Schedule

The first clue will be provided on Sept. 18 (Fri.) at 15:00 (JST).
Clues will be provided over 5 weeks: Sept. 18, Sept. 25, Oct. 2, Oct. 9, Oct. 16
Participants will receive an email notifying them each time a new clue is available.

About the Pattern

Participants may choose to download the clues in English or Japanese. Video tutorials will be provided for key techniques.

Yarn
One color of DK weight yarn
MC: Approximately 492 yards / 450 m

One color of Fingering weight yarn
CC: Approximately 380 yards / 350 m

Option: 1 ball of amirisu Flutter
You can optionally add Flutter to customize your project.

Gauge
18 stitches and 40 rows = 10cm in garter stitch using DK Weight Yarn
Gauge is not critical for this project but will affect the amount of yarn required.

Needles
US6 (4.00mm) 80 cm (or longer) circular needle

Or needle required to obtain gauge

Notions

Cable needle, Tapestry needle, stitch markers, blocking wires, waste yarn or cord for putting stitches on hold

ミステリーKALとは、毎週少しずつパターンが発表され、最後まで編むとショールが完成するというもの。糸選びから始まって、編んでいる皆さんでワイワイお祭りのように楽しもうという企画です。どんなショールになるのか最後までわからない、というところがミステリーなんですよ。

ゴールを目指して一緒に楽しく編みましょう！

文章パターンです。日本語も英語もご用意します。
ミステリーでも安心して編んでいただけるように、キーとなる編み方についての動画をたくさんご用意します！

使用する糸について

MC: DK weight の毛糸1色
約 492 yards / 450 m
CC: Fingering weight の毛糸1 色
約 380 yards / 350 m

オプション: amirisu Flutter 1 玉 / カセ
＊お好みでFlutterを追加してアレンジできます。

使用する針

US6 (4.00mm) の80 cm 以上の輪針

または ゲージが取れる太さの針
ゲージは重要ではありませんが、ゲージが変わると糸量も変わることにご注意ください。
