Amy Shawl
This pattern is for a tunisian crochet crescent shawl that is worked from the center out.
This shawl is dedicated to Amy Rooney of Vivid Fiber Arts and all the hardworking folks who worked tirelessly on the frontlines during the pandemic. Amy has been incredibly supportive of my designing. She is an amazing person who put her yarn business on hold and unretired her stethoscope to work in COVID ICUs.
Materials
Yarn: Fingering weight yarn. 600-1000 yards.
Hook: 6.0mm (J) Tunisian crochet hook with cable (12”/30cm minimum length)
Size: Size is adjustable to any amount of yarn. 600 yards will create a small shawlette. 1000 yards will create a large shawl. Instructions are included.
Yarn provided for this sample by Vivid Fiber Arts. Sample is Lux XL (100% Tencel fingering weight yarn) 1000 yards in the Galaxy Colorway.
Skill level- Intermediate to Advanced
The ability to read stitches is critical. An intermediate tunisian crocheter with patience will be able to do this pattern. Both written instructions and charts are included.
Basic knowledge of tunisian crochet is assumed (forward pass/return pass etc).
This pattern comes to you as a PDF with explanations for all stitches used and a link to instructional videos.
