Seanchai is the Irish word for storyteller. In days of old he would travel from town to town weaving stories and tales for the price of a meal or a nights lodging. Neighbors would come from nearby farms and towns and bring food to gather for the mesmerizing tales that had the glimmer of truth to make them palatable and the glory of fantasy to make them entertaining. The days of the storyteller have come and gone with the availability of books, ebooks and such but now and then there are true storytellers who bring back the days old and their legends and myths.
This is for my friend Jo who is a seanchai is the truest sense of the word.
Test knit by the Seanchai herself celticmemory
