Dreaming of crisp linen, lines clacking against masts, swallows diving and chirping, sun-bleached beaches and heavy anchors hanging off the bow of bobbing sailboats in gentle waves. Everyone needs a good summer throw to curl up in on those cooler Nantucket-like nights. I hope I’ve captured your imagination with this one. Happiest crocheting, always.
This pattern is worked up using the classic sunburst granny square and a solid granny square.
In this pattern I used a OOAK (one of a kind) colour from Ravenswood Fibre Co. in Worsted (182gyds/100g) for the Anchor with WeCrochet/Knit Picks Swish Bare Worsted (220yds/100g) for the background squares and a 5.0mm (size H) and 5.5mm (size I) hooks, respectively.
The final blanket size was: Approximately 54” x 58” inches.
Pattern will include:
- yarn amounts/quantities.
- yarn colours.
- stitch glossary.
- printable pdf of blanket graph.
- yarn links/substitution suggestions
- full written instruction for the granny squares used (classic sunburst and solid granny square).
- written tutorial for border.
- video tutorials for the granny squares as well as the slip stitch method of assembling the squares.
Happy Crocheting Everyone!
