I wondered how many helices I could set up at once? The answer was way more than I thought! This cowl is the result of that “what if?” whimsy.

1 set 4mm [US 6] circular needles, 40cm [16in] long, or one size smaller than the size needed to match tension
Stitch markers, in similar colours to your yarns if possible
Waste yarn (smooth cotton is ideal)

Tension
19 sts and 25 rows to 10cm [4in] over striped stocking stitch

Pattern Notes
The cowl starts with a waste yarn cast on, before being joined into the round. The main colour is joined in and knited before a 14-round rainbow of helical stripes are set up, then changing to Storm to complete the cowl. The waste yarn is removed from the cast-on edge and the stitches are grafted together.
