Andy's Polo
My husband looks so great in polo shirts: not the kind that are crisp and striped and modern, but more the slightly rough-around-the-edges, circa 1978 style. Turns out, they are really hard to find! So, obviously I had to design and knit one. Keeping him in mind, I chose a stitch pattern with great texture and, because he prefers looser edgings, I did not do them on smaller needles. Feel free to work your edgings on size smaller needles if that’s your preference.

This sweater was originally knit with Rowan Classic
Cashsoft DK (57% extra fine merino, 33% acrylic, 10% cashmere, each approximately 1¾ oz 50g and 142 yd 130m), in color 517 donkey. This yarn is discontinued but many yarns can be substituted. Matching the fiber construction exactly is not necessary however, matching gauge is. Check out yarnsub.com for substitution ideas.
