Angled Blocks
A free version is also available.
Angled Squares is the perfect combination of linked half double crochet for coverage, and join-as-you-go granny squares to create wide open spaces. Stitch the yoke in coordinated colors of sock weight yarn, then build the front and back of the sweater down and seam the sides.
The neckline is boat style on one side and has a deep scoop on the other - wear the scoop on the front or back, depending on your mood.
3/4 sleeves, slightly cropped, fitted.
The yardage notation is for the number of skeins used but there will be significant yardage leftover from the granny square colors.
