Angler shawl is named after the type of fisherman who uses the fishing technique of angling- a method of fishing by means of an “angle” (fish hook). Due to the peculiar but fascinating shape made when working this shawl, you will find the angle meets in the center until it is time to turn the corner. Then, the angles trajectory changes as you work to achieve the triangular shape of the shawl. This pattern is mostly charted.

• US Size 6 (4mm) 32” (80 cm) circular knitting needle
• 1 stitch marker
• tapestry needle

Gauge
18 sts, 34 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch after blocking.
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Designer Notes
A long circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.
All the pattern sections are charted except for the Striped Section.
