This summer top has a modular construction that explores directionality and texture. The striped all-over lace pattern highlights the changing directions.

Gauge
Measured from blocked and relaxed fabric:
21 sts and 34 rows = 10cm / 4” with 3.75mm / US5 needles in
Lace pattern worked flat.

In this pattern, meeting gauge is important as both stitch and row gauge impact the finished measurements in width and length.

Design notes
This top is knit with modular construction and seamed using 3-needle bind off and mattress stitch.
First front and back panels are worked in an all-over lace pattern, flat and from the bottom up.
Next the sides are worked from the stitches picked up along the vertical edges of the front and back panels. Each side is worked flat and in the same all-over lace pattern.
The shoulder drop is designed to be equal across the size range. To achieve this, in sizes 1–4 there is more width in the shoulders and in sizes 5–9 the additional width is around the body.
