This women’s skirt is knit from the bottom hem up to the waist. You will cast on the lace hem stitches first and work those back and forth. Once the hem is completed, it is joined into a round and then stitches are picked up along the top edge for the body of the skirt. The remainder of the skirt is worked in the round. It also features a fold-over drawstring casing at the waist, with self-yarn ties. It is shaped with the use of concentric decreases from the waist to the hem for an A-line shape.

It is knit using 2 colors of fingering-weight yarn. You will need 1 (1, 1, 1, 2, 2) balls of the contrast color and 5 (5, 6, 6, 8, 10) balls of the main color to knit the pattern as written. The length may be easily customized by working more rounds, but you will need more yardage to do so.
