Anna Jarvis Socks
Instead of buying your mom flowers this year, why not knit her some instead? This project is dedicated to the founder of Mother’s Day in America. The Anna Jarvis Socks resemble a basket of flowers but last a lot longer. These are socks you can’t buy at a big box store. By making things by hand, we are able to live richer, more thoughtful lives.
NOTES: This advanced sock is knit from the cuff-down using charts. One way to alter the size of this sock will be to change gauge: For an 8” circumference sock, work the Small at 7 sts per inch or the Large at 9 sts per inch.
This sock will be available for individual download only during the month of May. After that, it will only be available as part of the Socks For All Seasons Club. The pattern will be released again individually in March 2011.
This is the May installment of the Socks For All Seasons Pattern Club. For more info on the club, go here.
Foot circumference:
7 (9) inches 17.5 (23 cm) unstretched. Will stretch to fit 9 (11) inches 23 (28 cm).
Pattern includes a bonus chocolate chip cookie recipe!
