Traveling socks is a fun way to get some very unique socks that have been to some very unique places and have a story to tell everyone along the way.

Here is how it works.

Get a group of 5 or more people together that all would like to knit socks. Chose what yarn you want to use and have everyone purchase the same yarn but in the color(s) they want to. Make sure everyone has also purchased the same basic pattern to follow. Write your information in the traveling journal (see photos for ideas of what should be in your journal).

Each person will knit their own toes (make both toes) and on a set date everyone will mail (or meet up) their socks to the next person on the list. Each person will knit 2 inches and add their own touch to the sock before passing them onto the next person. You will pass your socks around to each person in the group and each person gets to add 2 inches to your socks before they are sent back to you. Please note that if you have a large group you may want to work less than 2 inches or make smaller groups within the larger one.

Please note that this pattern is still under construction. Although all the needed information is there to get your group started I am still adding extras. Should you see a mishap in the pattern please let me know and I will fix it right away
