Annetje
Annetje is a super quick knit. Inspired by canal houses in Amsterdam. Knit bottom up, with all the fun color work as a reward at the top. Worsted weight.
An experienced knitter can make this sweater over a weekend, just in time for tulip season. I designed this sweater for my daughter who was traveling to the Netherlands for the first time without our family. I was discouraged because I didn’t quite finish it on time, I was driving her and her husband to the airport, when it dawned on me that she could finish it herself. I texted her instructions and she finished it on the plane. She wore this sweater in Amsterdam.
Knit with Quince Lark (perfect for a summer sweater, because it’s soft and can be worn with only a t-shirt for when you need a sweater in the morning or evening). Rauma Strikkegarn is a great choice for a winter version.
