A light and breezy shawl, anthozoa is the perfect vacation
(or staycation) pattern that combines an easy stitch with a
wonderful yarn and a versatile diamond shape.

Anthozoa works up beautifully in many yarn weights from lace to bulky and the size is very easily customized to use any yardage.

Size and shape
Medium: 32” wide x 72” long (75 x 180 cm) at longest points of diamond,
Large: 47” wide x 95” long (120 x 240 cm) at longest points of diamond,
size is easily customizable

Yarn
Heavy Lace / Light Fingering weight, 550 (1100) yds
Large shown in YOTH Yarns Best Friend (550 yds / 100 g) in peach, 2 skeins.

Gauge
12 sts & 24 rows = 4” / 10 cm in pattern after blocking using US 6-9 (4-5.5 mm) or size needed to get gauge.
Gauge is not critical for this project and blocking can be used to substantially change gauge and shape; a different gauge will change the look of the stitch pattern, yield a different size and have different yarn requirements.

Skills/Techniques
Knit, purl, increase, decrease. Suitable for adventurous beginner or social/tv knitting. The pattern is charted and fully written.

Thank you to the stunning Laila for modeling the shawl with such aplomb, to the detail-loving Rebecca for precision testing, and to the ever-wonderful Veronika at YOTH Yarns for all her support.
