This pattern will be available from 12 noon on Sunday March 15th 2020.

Released as part of OperationSJW, this beanie was designed in support of the Trans community. In particular, it is a response to remarks made by JK Rowling in late 2019.

ALL proceeds from the sale of this hat (after taxes and fees are deducted) will be donated to Notts Chameleons and Notts Trans Hub. These are both organisations local to me, that support members of the Transgender community.

The statement ‘Trans Women are Women’ reads around the circumference of this simple knitted hat, which is constructed from the bottom up. Stranded colour work is used to create the text, using three large charts presented in the pattern.

Allow approx 150-200m of main colour and 50m of contrast colour for the text. Any DK yarn can be used for the hat.
