Two-in-one-pattern: Headband AND hat. You make the headband first and can choose to stop there or continue to make a hat from the headband. Both will give you a double layer over the ears to keep them extra warm.

This hat is made to be over-the-top: you can go for bold colours, finally use the bright skein of variegated yarn you don’t know what to do with, try that yarn with glitter that’s calling your name from the stash – and then top it off with a pompom. Yes, I admit, I made a crowd-pleaser. And with a colourway named Ninja Girl – that’s awesome too! At least I know my niece Antonia will love this hat, and I made it with her in mind.

The yarn has this really fab pooling effect that I love, but if you don’t – you can just alternate two balls of yarn to avoid it.

You can of course also opt out of the bow and pompom.

The metrage required (150-300 m / 164-328 yds) is ranges from the smallest headband to the biggest hat.

This pattern is easy to customise.

Now, who do you know that needs an Antonia Hat?
