Beginner- This pattern is for those knitters who are ready to try simple lace knitting. Skills/concepts include increases, decreases and yarn overs.
Notes From the Designer:
•Like an ever-changing river, this asymmetric triangular shawl flows from deepest greens to palest blues and includes smooth, calm spaces and also rippling waves along the edge.
•This pattern uses three colors, but never more than one color at a time. Color changes occur only at the beginning of some right side rows; carry the unused color up the edge with a simple twist.
•Knit from the narrowest tip, each right side row begins with a simple increase to create the shawl’s shape and is then knit across. The garter stitch body has a simple eyelet lace edging to keep things interesting while still being easy enough to knit while chatting or watching your favorite show. An eyelet lace border that echoes the knit-as-you-go edging completes the final border.
•Watch a video of this pattern here to learn how to work the body of the shawl, the lace edging and wavy border.
