The basic kids’ vest gets a fun upgrade with cables, zigzags, optional bobbles, and mood-lifting color! All the texture in this design shows up best in a smooth yarn that has a solid or mostly solid colorway. The body is knit in the round from the bottom up to the armholes. The front and back are each knit flat and then seamed at the shoulders. Stitches are picked up around each armhole and the neckband to work the armbands and neckband, respectively. There are 2 different options for the height of the armbands and neckband. And feel free to adjust the length of the body for growth spurts! The 4-6 year old size is shown with about 1” of positive ease.
