The colors for this afghan are taken from the vivid, festive traditional hues of Mardi Gras. The pattern is based on a modified version of the Choctaw chevron, the basic shape which is used to build that tribe’s famous quilts. Created in strips using all Tunisian simple stitch, this afghan works up quickly for its size and is large enough to cover a queen-sized bed.
