While making a plain 5-hour cardigan for a friend, I was inspired to make a very pretty yet still quick baby sweater. This cardigan is based on the same principles of the 5-hour baby sweater. It uses larger needles then recommended for gauge of the yarns used. This sweet little cardigan is knit in one piece from the top down. The sleeves are knitted in the round using the Magic Loop method. The only sewing is to sew down the picot edge. The smallest size is made using a DK weight yarn and a US #7 and the largest size is made using worsted weight yarn and a US#10. Would you like a hat to match your baby sweater? Check out the Apple Blossom Baby Hat.

April 11, 2011 A long sleeve option has been added to this pattern.

Please note: I no longer have time to design and new tax laws make that even harder. My patterns are now free. Please enjoy. However no pattern support or help will be given as I am not on here much anymore.
