Apple Picker's Basket-weave Poncho
by Elanor Lynn
The stitch is NOT a true basket-weave but a pattern of 3 X 3 ribbing that shifts over 3 stitches every four rows. The ribbing is worked in garter stitch rather than reverse stockinette.
To make,an adult size, cast-on enough stitches for each piece to measure 20 - 22” wide and bind-off when 30” long. Be sure to purchase enough extra yarn.
Finish by sewing wrong sides togther following directions and whip stitch together.
