Arachne
What better circular motifs exist in nature than the spiderweb? The inspiration is obvious for this top-down, circular-yoke sweater. Arachne’s stranded colorwork yoke starts the project. When the yoke is the appropriate depth, stitches are placed on hold for each sleeve with additional underarm stitches cast on. The body is knit down in the round with side shaping. Sleeves are then placed back on the needles and worked down. The neckband is picked up and knit from the completed sweater body to add a little extra structure to the neckline. For the best fit, choose a size with 2-5 in / 5-13 cm of positive ease through the bust.
The colorwork stitch pattern is charted only.
