PATTERN NOTES
The Arachne Mitts are cozy fingerless mitts with the spider cable that you loved on the Arachne Pullover but knit from sport weight yarn and downsized to fit your hands!
The mitts are knit in the round from the cuff up. There’s a thumb gusset for a super comfy fit, and 1x1 ribbing on the palms to ensure maximum snugness. The thumb gusset sts are all K.
Wear them at Halloween of course, but the Arachne Mitts are perfect for any time of year. Your spider friends will appreciate the shout-out and the recognition of all of their hard work!
The spider cable is not my original creation- it can be found in Barbara Walker’s “Charted Knitting Design: A Third Treasury of Knitting Patterns”. There are many beautiful patterns on Ravelry that use this cable design!
Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4); 6.25 (7.15, 8, 8.75)”/15.75 (17.75, 20, 22)cm around the palm, designed to be worn with 1-2”/ 2.5-5cm of negative ease.
