Once mastered the technique can be used to create any size of cushion/pillow or you can use the pattern to make a blanket and keep out the draughts ( joke!)
It’s also a great stash busting project, each check or section can be knit in any colour or any size without the fuss of all those tiny balls of yarn required for intarsia.
You will need just 200 grams of Aran weight yarn in each colour.
