In this pattern you will find the receipt to make 2 hats, the one in stockinette stitch and the one in sand stitch.

SIZE

One size - approximately 21” to 23” / 54 to 58 cm head circumference

GAUGE

4” / 10cm = 18 stitches x 26 rows, with 4.00mm needles in stockinette stitch, in the round, after blocking.

YOU WILL NEED

Yarn: Wooldreamers - Dehesa la Rinconada: 100% merino wool from Spain. Skeins of 100 gr and 230 m. You will need 80 gr, approx. 185 meters / 202 yards.
We also made the test knitting with:
Wooldreamers Mota. 100% merino+manchega wool from Spain. Skeins of 100g / 230m
Retrosaria Brusca. 50% merino and 50% saloia. Skeins of 50gr / 125m

Needles: 4.00mm circular needles with 40 or 50 cm cable. // 6 US needles with 16” or 20” cable.
or the size needed to achieve gauge.
You can also choose to use a DPNs set.
At the end of the hat, when the decreases begin, it is more comfortably knitted with double pointed needles or doing magic loop (using a longer cable).

Notions: Stitch marker to mark the begining of round. Tapestry needle to weave in ends, scissors, tape measure or ruler.

TECHNIQUES USED

Long tail cast on
Knit and purl
YO: yarn over
k2tog: knit 2 stitches together.
CDD: Centered double decrease. Slip 2 stitches as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass the 2 slipped stitches over the one knitted.

I don’t know Arancha very much, but she is one of those people that from the first time you see her, you like her. She also has a huge smile, which is what I hope that this hat provokes you every time you wear it on the days of autumn and winter.

Arancha is also one of the people involved in the Wool Dreamers project, and since this design is made with one of Wool Dreamers’ yarns, it seems perfect to put her name on it.

En este patrón encontrarás las instrucciones para hacer dos gorros, uno en punto liso y otro en punto arena.

TALLA

Talla única - para un contorno aproximado de 54 a 58 cm / 21 a 23 pulgadas.

MUESTRA

En punto liso, o punto jersey, tejido en circular, con agujas del 4.00mm, y después de bloquear, 10x10 cm son 18 puntos x 26 vueltas.

MATERIALES

Hilo: Wooldreamers - Dehesa la Rinconada: 100% lana merino ecológica española. 100 gr y 230 m. Para la muestra se han usado 80 gramos, aproximadamente 185 metros / 202 yardas.
Además, hemos hecho el test con:
Wooldreamers Mota. 100% Lana merina entrefina y manchega. Ovillo de 100g y 230m
Retrosaria Brusca. 50% lana merina + 50% lana saloia. Ovillo de 50gr y 125m

Agujas: circulares de 4.00mm, o el tamaño necesario para obtener la muestra.
Cable recomendado de 40 o 50 cm, pero depende de tu comodidad. También puedes optar por utilizar un juego de agujas de doble punta.
Para el final del gorro, cuando empiezan las disminuciones, se teje más cómodamente con agujas de doble punta o haciendo magic loop (usando un cable largo).

Extras: marcador de inicio de vuelta, aguja lanera para rematar cabos y coser, metro o regla y tijeras.

TÉCNICAS EMPLEADAS
Montar puntos.
D: punto derecho. / R: punto revés.
LAZ: echar una hebra o lazada. En inglés YO. Se aumenta un punto.
2pjD: Tejer dos puntos juntos del derecho a la vez. En inglés k2tog. Se disminuye un punto.
DDC: Disminución doble centrada. Deslizar dos puntos sin tejer como si fueras a tejerlos del derecho, tejer un punto del derecho, montar por encima del último punto tejido los dos deslizados. Se disminuyen dos puntos.
Tejer un dobladillo: además del paso a paso, tienes un vídeo tutorial en el patrón.

A Arancha no la conozco mucho, pero es de estas personas que ya desde la primera vez que la ves, te cae bien, que hablas con ella y sabes que va de cara, y además con una sonrisa enorme, que es lo mismo que espero que te provoque este gorro cada vez que te lo pongas los días del otoño y del invierno.

Arancha es también una de las personas involucradas en el proyecto Wool Dreamers, y como este diseño está hecho con una de sus lanas, me parece perfecto ponerle su nombre.

En lugar de hacer un modelo, han salido dos, así que este patrón son dos en uno.
