A slip-stitch herringbone perfectly mirrors the two-colour mosaic stitch for an accessory that is exciting to knit. Seemingly complex, it is suitable for every level of knitter who dreams of colour and texture paired with comfort and squish.
• SKILL LEVEL: advanced beginner
• FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 15” / 38 cm wide and 74” / 188 cm long
• YARN: 4 skeins SweetGeorgia Yarns Superwash DK, 2 each in Trinket (MC), 1 in Illusion (CC1), and 1 in Birch (CC2) (256 yd / 234 m per 4 oz / 115 g skein; 100% Superwash Merino).
• NEEDLES & NOTIONS: Size 6 US / 4 mm needle (Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain the correct blocked gauge), yarn needle
• GAUGE: 18 sts and 32 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Diagonal Herringbone patt, after blocking. 18 sts and 28 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Mosaic patt, after blocking.
• PATTERN NOTES: This is a rectangular stole knit flat. The two-color mosaic pattern in Section Two is worked using one color at a time (no carrying yarns), switching between colors on every right side row.
