Are Ewe Knitting Me?
This circular yoke sweater is knit in one piece, top-down, and adorned with a row of cute sheep. Short rows shape the neck, and gentle increases and decreases shape the body.
Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) 6, 7, 8, 9.
Finished bust circumference: 32.5 (36.5, 40.5, 44.5, 48.5) 52.5, 56.25, 60.25, 64”/ 81.5 (91.5, 101.5, 111.5, 121.5) 131.5, 141, 150.5, 160cm.
To be worn with 2 - 4”/ 5 - 10cm of positive ease.
Needle: US 3/ 3.25mm or size to obtain gauge, and US 2/ 2.75mm or 0.5mm smaller than gauge needle; 16”/ 40cm and 24 - 48”/ 60 - 120cm circulars, depending on bust circumference, and DPNs or short circulars for sleeves.
Gauge: 22 sts and 30 rnds = 4”/ 10cm in Stockinette stitch and Fair Isle. You may need to go up a needle size to match your colorwork gauge to your SS gauge.
Yarn: fingering weight:
MC: 1080 (1195, 1330, 1465, 1625) 1795, 1945, 2085, 2225 yards / 990 (1095, 1220, 1344, 1491) 1647, 1784, 1912, 2040 meters (single color or gradient as shown);
CC1 (sheep bodies): 30 yards / 28 meters;
CC2 (sheep legs and faces): 15 yards / 14 meters.
Notions: tapestry needle, scrap yarn, stitch markers.
