“As the sun goes down, the horizon is a deep, dark colour with the orange reds of the setting sun glowing above – this was my starting point for this shawl,” says Julie Ferguson. Her stole uses a simple yet effective lace pattern, which shows off the three graduated shades of Manos del Uruguay’s Silk Blend Fino in a beautiful ombre effect.
Yarns required:
Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend Fino 279yds
A Lava (6921); 1 x 50g skein
B Autumn (7056); 1 x 50g skein
C Bramble (9237); 1 x 50g skein
Needles required:
1 set 4mm (US 6/UK 8) circular needles, 80cm long
