Intermediate: short rows
Worked flat starting with a provisional cast on, then grafted at the end. Short rows are used to shape the thumb.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
One size, worked sideways in one piece, with negative ease to t average ladies’ hand.
Circumference at palm: 18cm/ 7in.
Length from wrist to nger opening: 16.5cm/ 6 1⁄2in.
Length of thumb gusset: 6cm/ 2 1⁄2in.
MATERIALS
• 1 x 50g skein in colour #29 (A).
• 1 x 50g skein in colour #25 (B).
• Pair of needles size 2.75mm/US 2 or size required to achieve
correct tension.
• Crochet hook size 3.25mm/US 3
• Several meters/yards of waste yarn.
• Yarn needle.
