I am a huge Lord of the Rings fan. And yes - the Hobbit.
When I finished this hat - I thought that it deserved a really special name. It sparkled so much, and the color combo was just perfect. I chose to name it Arkenstone after the Jewel in the Hobbit. It was an heirloom of Durin’s folk, and called the Heart of the Mountain.

It’s a pretty complicated design, with lots of stitch and color changes. I’d recommend it for advanced crocheters.

It calls for 4 colors, and I have included the information on the exact yarns and colors I used.
