Arm Knitting
by Marta Cantos
Knitting using your arms as giant needles.
Pattern notes from Yarn Magazine Issue 13, March 2009:
Your finished accessory can be worn as a scarf, shawl, cape or hood depending on how you shake and drape it. If you have big hands and slick hair you can gently move it around and over your head, to wear it as a freeform poncho. It is very fluid, open and fun, taking only 20-30 minutes to complete. If you are arm knitting with children, start with a multi-coloured yarn, as it is easier to find any dropped stitches.
A Youtube video is now available showing Marta’s arm knitting technique - produced by her daughter Patricia Cantos http://youtu.be/qHlo2_s-kcM
