Aroura Shawl
Aroura is a triangular shawl with a relatively shallow point and longer tails, worked from the top center down to the bottom edge. It begins with a garter spine and stockinette body, then adds stripes of a contrasting color in an intricate-looking but easy-to-knit texture pattern, finishing with a garter edge.
The combination of textures in the finished shawl suggests a landscape of fields, both fallow and plowed; which inspired the name Aroura, an ancient Greek word for arable land.
