Arrow is a classic raglan pullover knit in Brooklyn Tweed’s Shelter, a wool that combines lightness and warmth exceptionally well. The pullover is knit in pieces and then seamed. Sizing ranges from small at a 32” bust up to an 3XL for a 42” bust, which includes 2” of positive ease. I designed the sweater to be loose fitting enough for those who like to layer.

It was difficult to choose colours for this project with all of the fantastic choices available in Shelter. In the end, I chose the interesting combination of Wool Socks and Postcard to work with here, one of my favorite pairings.

YARN

  • MC: Brooklyn Tweed Shelter (140yds/50g each) in Wool Socks, 7/8/8/9/10/11
  • CC: Brooklyn Tweed Shelter (140yds/50g each) in Postcard, 1/1/1/2/2/3

NEEDLES
4 mm 24” circular or straight needles (or size needed to obtain gauge) & 24” circular needles one size smaller than main needle (3.5 mm needle if using 4 mm for the main section for working collar.

OTHER MATERIALS
Seaming needle and yarn in a complementary colour for seaming (Shelter is not ideal to use for seaming, so you’ll want to choose something stronger).

GAUGE
19 sts x 30 rows in stockinette with larger needle.
