This shawl is a very simple triangle shawl. The magic is in the yarn. You will hold one strand of a self-striping yarn with one strand of a mohair. You can use two different colors of mohair or the same color throughout, it’s up to you. Either way the result is a soft, warm, cozy shawl with a lovely halo.

The yardage range given shows the minimum for just the Okunoshima, the maximum includes the mohair yardage as well.

The pattern calls for 2 balls of the Okunoshima and 2 spools of the Katia 50 Mohair Shades.

There are some other great options for both yarns - Fiji from Queensland Collection for the self Striping and Silky Kid from Ella Rae for the Mohair.

You can choose to use one color of the mohair or alternate two colors to match the self striping yarn.
