As a knitter – and a mystery writer! – I can’t help but love the imagery of arsenic and old lace. I designed this first as a mystery knitalong (thus the name), but it’s available now as a full pattern. I went out of my box for the color combination on this one, and I was absolutely delighted by the result! I imagined pools of poison on parchment. I chose a low-contrast combination to create a vintage effect, but the options are limitless!

This large triangle shawl is knit from the top center of the shawl down to the lower point. It’s worked with increases along the side edges and down the center.

Skill: Intermediate

Yarn: Two skeins of fingering weight wool (or blends) - This is a great project for stash singles!
