This asymmetrical jacket is knitted in a tweed stitch with a worsted-weight wool held together with a slightly glitzy novelty yarn. The pieces are knitted from the bottom up and seamed together. The result is thick and windproof but ultra stylish, with zippers along the asymmetrical front opening and sleeve cuffs.
Finished Size About 35½ (39½, 43½, 47½, 51½, 55½)“ (90 100.5, 110.5, 120.5, 131, 141 cm) bust circumference. Designed to be worn with 3½” (9 cm) of positive ease. Jacket shown measures 35½“ (90 cm).
Yarn Cascade Yarns Cascade 220 (100% Peruvian highland wool; 220 yd 200 m/100 g): #2410 Purple (MC), 7 (7, 8, 9, 10, 10) skeins; Katia Yarns Gatsby (77% viscose, 15% nylon, 8% metallic polyester; 129 yd 118 m/50 g): #47 Eggplant/Silver (CC), 11 (12, 14, 16, 16, 17) balls. Worsted weight (#4 Medium) and Sportweight (#2 Fine)
Needles Size U.S. 7 (4.5 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Stitch holders; tapestry needle; one 23 (23, 24, 24, 25, 25)“ (58.5 58.5, 61, 61, 63.5, 63.5 cm) separating zipper with metal teeth; two 7” (18 cm) non-separating zippers with metal teeth; sharp-point sewing needle; sewing thread to match yarn color; two size 4 (15 mm) large snaps; one size 000 (7 mm) small snap; two ¾” (2 cm) buttons.
Gauge 20 sts and 38 rows = 4” (10 cm) in tweed st patt with one strand each of MC and CC held tog.
