The Icelandic lopi yarn is produced in several different weights, both spun and unspun. This pattern is adjusted for one thread of plötulopi, which is unspun yarn, held together with one thread of einband, the lace-weight yarn. The einband adds strength, ideal for kids who wear the garment while playing, while plötulopi gives it a softer surface.
