Jeans and the holes from constant wearing were the inspiration for this design. The concept tries to capture the feelings and memories behind them through a lace pattern that gives a faux distressed look.

Skill Level: Easy

Materials

Yarn: Omega Sinfonia (100% Cotton; 218 yards 200 meters/100 grams): Ash Blue (Azul Cenizo, 5 balls)

Needles: US size 4 (3.5 mm) 24” circular

Notions: Markers (optional), tapestry needle

Pattern Notes ~ The design is worked flat from one end to the other. It incorporates Stockinette Stitch and a Lace Diamond Pattern. (The Lace Diamonds are scattered asymmetrically throughout the length of the scarf, resembling worn holes in favorite jeans.)

Techniques required are: Continental (Long Tail) Cast On and Lace Knitting.

This is an easy pattern, recommended for an adventurous beginner lace knitter.

Written and charted instructions are provided, as well as a Long Tail Cast on videotutorial.
