Word Asilomar, derived from the Spanish words “asilo” meaning retreat or refuge, and “mar,” meaning sea, hence “refuge-by-the-sea.”.
The construction of the vest is seamless topdown with an exception of a little seam where collar attaches to the back.
Finished Size:
To fit chest/bust: 38 inches (96 cm) or size M.
It is very easy to customize this vest to your measurements. Topdown construction allows you to try it on as you knit to make adjustments necessary for your individual body measurements.
Gauge:
18 sts and 24 rows = 4”/10cm in St.st on US 3-3.25 mm needles after blocking. Yarn held double.
Yarn:
Lotus Tibetan Yak Laceweight (yarn held double): 3 skeins = 1476.4 yards (1350.0m) in colorway Mariana (11).
