Askews Me Dress
Gather a selection of worsted and DK weight yarns for this top down brioche sweater dress. The neck features a biased section that continues into the yoke. A single increase continues into the sweater body for a flared asymmetrical shape. The sample shows a consistent white color B background mostly with Quince & Co Owl. Color A is a mixture of improvisational stripes in the foreground. You can even hold fingering weight yarns double for a bright accent color. Try on the top down dress as you knit to get the perfect sleeve and body length.
Instructions are written using color A and color B. Color A is the foreground color (mint, beige, pink, highlighter yellow) and color B is the background color (mostly white in the body and yellow on the neck). The samples show a consistent color B background color while color A changes in the foreground with color blocks and stripes. Feel free to change colors whenever you like. Changing both colors A & B will create a more striped graphic fabric. Keeping one of the colors consistent will ground the fabric and give it an overall quality of lightness or darkness. Experiment and play with colors and fibers to maintain your interest while knitting this garment.
