This earflap hat begins in the round with two-color brioche and garter stitch. Increases and decreases seamlessly shape the earflaps. Stripes and textures change in each section for a playful rhythm. This hat is ideal for using leftover bits of yarn. Cover your ears with the earflaps for a slouchy style or fold them up for a more fitted look with a thick brim.

A variety of worsted weight yarns from Primrose Yarn Co., Jill Draper Makes Stuff, and Orkney Angora St. Magnus DK held together with lace weight mohair/silk

I recommend mixing various bits of worsted or aran weight yarns together for the playful stripes. DK weight would also work fine.

Section 2 & 4 are solid.
