The wonderful films of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers are an unforgettable part of my childhood. I can imagine Astaire wearing this vest in “Flying Down to Rio” or “Top Hat”, gracefully twirling Rogers around the set. The herringbone design is an old favorite and I’ve combined it with light-as-a-feather silken tweed yarn to create a garment which I hope will do justice to astaire’s legendary sartorial elegance.
