Aster Crochet Rug and Crochet Doily Pattern US & UK terms

The Aster pattern creates a beautiful decorative crochet circle that can be used to create a rug, a doily, or a placemat. The pattern is the same, just adjust your yarn and hook size to achieve different results!

The pattern comes as an 8-page PDF download, with comprehensive instructions.

Instructions include -

This pattern is easy enough to be used by a confident beginner, yet still interesting enough to be enjoyed by an intermediate crocheter.

Stitches used are -
(US) SC, HDC, DC, DC2TOG, DC3TOG, BLO, Picot.
(UK) DC, HTR, TR, TR2TOG, TR3TOG, BLO, Picot.

Finished rug example uses approx. 1.1kg Super Chunky yarn with an 8mm hook. Finished product measures 118cm / 42.5” wide.

Finished doily example uses approx. 100gms Sports weight yarn. with an 3mm hook. Finished product measures 56cm / 22” wide.
